Today’s commute reminded me of something I saw some time ago.

I was driving to work on the leftmost non-HOV lane. Up ahead there was this car driving on the HOV lane, with no other cars visible in its front for as far as I could see, but cars behind it were just driving bumper to bumper. The drivers of these cars trailing the apparent leader of this group were getting so visibly impatient, I could just feel their frustration. Feeling smug, I casually drove past all these potential road rage cases and went on my merry way.

Now let me ask you something. If you are going to insist on driving slow enough to create a traffic jam behind you on the fastest lane on the highway, would you have your license plate customized to read “GIFTED”?
