I’m Sorry, Little Bear

Beasts


Here is a video of a sleepy bear cub I happened to see on CNN.com. I’ve watched it over and over. He’s all cute and everything, yes, including those claws because they are so ridiculously disproportionately humongous for him. But that’s not why I watched it over and over. It’s because I’m so very sad for the poor little guy. He looks too young to be without his mother, and as somebody on the video remarked, he probably won’t survive very long. The saddest part is that I wonder if it would be any better for him to survive. This human world has become that hostile to living breathing beings. We suck.

    Oh, the video itself isn’t sad. It’s incredibly cute and funny because he just can’t stay awake. My reaction was probably not typical since I’ve been feeling kinda down. How is it going?
