Welcome to yoonamania where I put down the nonsense that pops up in my head from time to time. Please do not expect to make any sense out of my blatherings. It's called nonsense for a reason. Nor should you expect to enjoy any good writing. My English sucks moose ass. But I don't really care since I'm sure your Korean isn't any better. Please try to keep your expectations low and just chill like potatoes... or beets... or parsnips. Oh and yeah, don't take it seriously unless you think I think you must.

Yours truly, etc. yoonamaniac

Foster, Mania

It seems as though I utter the words “I’m so exhausted” every minute these days. I’m suffering from exhaustion, and my body shows a number of symptoms that I’m well acquainted with and that I associate with exhaustion. The problem is that most of these symptoms seem unknown to my friends and coworkers as resulting from exhaustion, and they either look at me strange or laugh at my face calling me a freak.

I would like to know if any of you heard of or suffer from the same symptoms.

  • Nose bleed. I’d be sitting at my desk and working, and suddenly blood drops out of one of the nostrils. Or I feel my nose is runny. I grab a tissue and wipe my nose and it turns out it’s blood. It rarely happens though.
  • Painful nostril. One of the nostrils get red and hard and painful.
  • Tongue needles. That’s the term directly translated from Korean and I don’t know what they are called in English. Some teeny little protrusions on tongue that feel like needles poking on the tongue. At least I know some people (Koreans) suffer from it.
  • Pain on the side of the tongue. It feels like a small part of the tongue has become stiff and it hurts.
  • Cracks at the corner of the lips where upper lip meets lower lip. I would first get some suspicious redness around the corner and the next day, the corner would look like it’s cut slightly to make the mouth bigger or something. It hurts like a son of a bitch.
  • Slight numbness of the face. The face doesn’t feel a little strange, until I touch my face (I do that a lot since it feels strange) at which point my face feels numb.

So? Anyone? Anyone?

  1. I get the cracks on the lips in the winter… not from stress, though. The rest I’ve never had, ever.
But then again, I’ve not even come CLOSE to how stressed you are.

 totally feeling exausted lately… and same thing… wiped my nose & it was bleeding… crappy… and in the past I will get issues with my lips when I am stressed, but I am SO happy it isn’t happening right now!!

Yoon, please go see a doctor. You spend so much time taking care of your furkids that I venture to say you are ignoring your own needs.

  4. perpstu says:

 I agree with cajunvegan. I think you may have let your immune system get too run down with all the running and caring for the furkids! Get better soon! :cozy:

  5. I third the going to the doctor idea. The numb face would worry me. :cozy: I hope you feel better soon.
